On 30.11.2014  I with Jyoti and Joydeb reach Katwa Railway Station to say good bye to last train ride on Narrow gauge (2'-6") line from Katwa to Balgona. The train line use to run from Katwa to Burdwan from 1 Dec 1915. It was used to be operated as Mcleod's Light Railway, a total distance of 53 Kilometres. Burdwan to Balgona train line stoped its operation in 2013. The whole line will be converted to Broad Gauge by 2017.
